Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Wyandotte Residents Directory. By using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. Nature of the Service

Wyandotte Residents Directory is a private reference. It describes and links to government record indexes, office channels, libraries, and archival collections related to Wyandotte, Wayne County, and Michigan. It does not host a government database and is not affiliated with a custodian, court, agency, or library.

2. Permitted Use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service or a result reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Seek a protected address or locate a person covered by a protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision that the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulates.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the material at scale.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the service.

3. No Consumer Reports

We are not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., defines that term. Neither this service nor a linked search result is a consumer report. Nothing from it may be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision.

4. Outside Resources

Official portals, library collections, and sponsored search tools are operated by others. Their content, prices, data practices, availability, and terms are outside our control. Review the provider's rules before using an external service.

5. No Warranty

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranty that a link, record description, office detail, collection date, or outside search result is complete, accurate, current, secure, or available.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from the service, an outside resource, or reliance on information obtained through either.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from claims, losses, liabilities, or reasonable attorneys' fees resulting from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Original copy, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and brief attributed quotations are permitted. Republishing full pages or systematically copying the material is not permitted without authorization.

9. Term Updates

We may revise these terms by posting new wording here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the changed terms.

10. Restricting Access

We may suspend or limit access when a user violates these terms, creates a security risk, or misuses the service. This may occur without prior notice where appropriate.

11. Michigan Law

These terms are governed by Michigan law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Michigan Freedom of Information Act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 through 15.246, governs access to records held by many Michigan public bodies, subject to exemptions and procedures. It does not make this private reference a government custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.

13. Questions
